Our Master Planning

Short Term:
  1. Refurbishment of the mosque accommodation to comply with Council standard.
  2. Establishing marriage office for Muslims through direct liaison with NSW government at Dubbo. 
  3. Enhance Religious knowledge by inviting local and international Religious Scholar for delivering lecture for improving Islamic knowledge. 
  4. Establishing Arabic teaching classes for children and adults.
Medium Term:
  1. Building ablution unit for male/female.
  2. building separate kitchen for visitors.
  3. Extend support services for new arrival Muslims to central west to facilitate their stay and encourage them to live and settle at NSW Central West.
  4. Work with NSW Government to attract Muslims New Migrants to settle at Central West of NSW.
Long Term:
  1. Look for opportunities to establish Mosques at Cobar, Bourke, Parkes, Nyngan, Mudgee, Coonabarabran and Wellington (last priority) Inshaa Allah and according to the muslims populations in those cities.
  2. Extend our service to far west of NSW and negotiate with Broken Hill Council to hand over the mosque of Broken Hill with our commitment to maintain the mosque according to the Mosque CMP and NSW heritage Council.

Roles & Functions

NSW Central West Muslims Association (NSWCWMA), was established as a statutory body in 12 January 2017 and is registered as an incorporated association in New South Wales under the Association Incorporated Act 2009 with Registration Number INC1700017 and follows Its Model Constitution.  NSWCWMA is to advise and report in annual basis to the NSW Fair Trading Department on all matters relating to its Financial Situation; including all revenues (collection through donations, membership fees, and/or government grants), expenditures, loses, current and total assets. 

The role of NSWCWMA is to see that the many and varied interests of Muslim community at Central West of NSW are looked after.

Among the principal functions of NSWCWMA are:

  • Administration of Zakat, Wakaf (endowment), pilgrimage affairs, Halal certification and other activities related to the socio-religious life of Muslims in Central West of NSW  
  • Construction, development, administration and management of Islamic Centres at Central West of NSW 
  • Development and administration of Islamic Education and Madrasah 
  • Issuance of religious guidance to the community.
